The revival meetings in the German Evangelical Church closed this week, after a continuance of four weeks.

Mr. Gellerman, father of Mrs. Henry Lageschulte, died at his home in Hoosier’s
Grove, Thursday, Jan. 26.  The funeral, which occurred last Saturday, was at-
tended by number from here.

W. Meyer & Co. have added four of the latest patterns in dinner sets to their
large crockery department and they are attracting great attention.

John Jahnke bought of Fred Brasel the northwest corner of Ela and Liberty
Streets, for $500, on which he will build this coming spring.

The concert given by the Barrington Choral Union at the Baptist Church last Saturday evening was a grand success and was well appreciated by those who were present. We hope that it will be possible for us to
listen to another in the near future.

FALLS HEIR TO MILLIONS.
Special telegram from Rockford: Emmery Sinnett, an employee of the City Railway
Company, today received news that his mother, Mrs. Sinnett of Lake County, Ill.,
has fallen heir to an estate amounting to $3,000,000, which formerly belonged
to her great grandfather.

Frank Geiske of Elgin visited with his parents last Sunday.

Arnold Shauble, our machinist, will take his brother Louis in partnership with him
about March 1.

Prof. L. B. Easton visited at his home in Waukegan last Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. Chester Dodge of Chicago visited with his parents last Sunday.

Mr. Louis Shauble visited a few days this week with his brother.
E. Lamey has just received a large stock of salt and is selling it at a low figure.

It is rumored that Daniel Catlow will move back to Barrington.

A number of Wauconda people attended the concert last Saturday evening.

Frank Walthousen visited with his mother last Sunday.

Mr. Lou Bennett is making a trip through Minnesota.

Henry Bauman is now ready to resolve issues for the town of Barrington and will be at the bank on Tuesdays and Saturdays of each week.

Miss Julia Vandywalker and sister, who have been visiting friends here this past week, returned to their home in Minneapolis, Minn. last Monday.

BORN-To Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Maynard, a daughter.

Mr. Henry Volker has moved in the house lately occupied by William Shumaker.

Mr. Wayland McIntosh of Chicago visited with his parents last Sunday.

Mr. Samuel Seebert returned home from Dwight last Saturday and looks very much
improved by the trip.

A number of young ladies and gentlemen attended the masquerade at Algonquin
last Friday evening.

A song service was given at the Baptist Church last Sunday evening and was well
attended.

Miss Delila Palmer visited with relatives at Nunda last Saturday.

Mr. Henry Boehmer made a short visit here last Thursday.

Mr. Samuel Geiske is enjoying a visit with relatives in Michigan this week, and on his return will clerk for J. C. Plagge.

Twenty pounds of granulated sugar $1 at A. W. Meyer & Company.

John Miners met with an accident on Wednesday of last week while on his way to town with a load of milk, by the upsetting of  the wagon in the ditch.  Fortunately there was very little damage done.

Geo. Steifenhocfer has sold his home and lot by Lake Street to J. Palmer.

Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Miller visited a few days last week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Bauman.

A petition was in circulation this week to raise a fund to aid H. R. Spear to receive
the treatment at Dwight.

Miss Maud Phillips of Harvard, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Purcell this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Fabritz have moved to the rooms over the meat market of S.M.
Jayne.
